Personal Statement

I am a student athlete and desire to continue this success in the collegiate environment.  I am seeking to excel academically at an institution that matches academic and athletic desire and commitment.  I aspire to build my academic foundation at an institution that compliments my desire to pursue medicine and sports management.  I am committed to academic success and higher education.  At Saint Pius X Catholic High School I am a dual sport athlete, maintain good grades, and am familiar with the grind of year round athletics.  I am also familiar with the benefits and success associated with this sacrifice.

The most significant reasons I may be good candidate for your team is that I am coachable and disciplined.  I strive to improve and trust that my coaches have the end goal and my success as a player and person in mind.  For example, I commit to execute changes coaches install in the offense or specific improvements they make with my game to benefit the team and I realize the coaching staff has the bigger picture in mind.  My discipline is a result of being a two sport athlete (football and lacrosse) while maintaining good grades in my College Preparatory Accelerated (CPA) and Advanced Placement (AP) course work.  At Saint Pius X, varsity athletes weight train four days a week prior to school and practice five days a week throughout the year.  This forces me to manage my time effectively, use time before school to see teachers, and utilize study hall and home time effectively.  I currently bench press 220 pounds/squat 310 pounds.  With two full years of high school remaining my goal is to bench 300 pounds/squat 400 pounds.

I am committed to education, athletics, faith, and family. I love the game of lacrosse and the sense of family created through adversity, sacrifice, and teamwork.  Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. Please contact the coaches listed as references and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
