Personal Statement
I am seeking a school that appeals to my academic aspirations, challenges me physically, and provides me with outdoor and community opportunities. My current interests and abilities have helped prepare me to be a worthwhile candidate for a college that has an impressive academic reputation geared towards medical sciences, community activities, as well as a thriving lacrosse program. Being an active member of Simple Charity and Beta Club at my high school, an institution that plays a key role in giving back to the community would be important to me. I am also involved in one of the best JROTC programs in the country and have competed on the "Raider" physical fitness and obstacle course team, which has been recognized for consistent success. My lacrosse career began 8 years ago and the experiences I have enjoyed while playing with various select and travel teams, including being part of a Madlax National Championship squad, a very competitive Atlanta Empire Lacrosse Club, the Georgia NXT Showcase All-Stars, the East Coast Invitational All-Stars, and the Georgia Brine All-American team have helped to improve my defensive skills to be able to letter in Varsity lacrosse for the past three years and captain my school's defensive unit. My hope is to extend my lacrosse career at the collegiate level while earning my degree in health sciences.
