Van Goyen '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a dual athlete who also plays DE for our Varsity football program...a bit bigger guy on the lacrosse field and a smaller type DE.  Speed helps with both.  Now that I'm going to be entering into my senior year in high school what lies next is starting to enter the picture in a large way and I don't see myself putting the deep pole down while in college.  No matter where I go to school at the next level I would just like to continue with this great sport.  I've started to have some great conversations with next level coaches and at this point am just honored to be considered as potentially beneficial to a college level team.  What you'll get is someone who loves the game, is coachable,  and  flexible with what is needed by the team.   I consider myself an athletic defender/lsm with a lot of speed who can play both aggressive tight man and zone. I think I've matured as a player quite a bit over the last few seasons but also as a student.  My first year and a half as a HS student was too focused on everything else but being one though I have now put a good string of 3 semesters together to help balance that out.  I'm still figuring things out but what's important is is becoming clearer every day..
