Here is a little bit about myself.
I have wanted to play lacrosse since the first time I threw down my baseball bat and picked up a lacrosse stick. I immediately fell in love with the game. I started out playing defense but I eventually found my true calling in the goal. I also played football for 8 years and I was very talented at it. I played my freshman year at Mundelein high school. I hardly ever came out of a game, playing starting line on offense, defense and special teams.
My Sophomore year, I transferred to Carmel Catholic High School. This opened up so many more ways to succeed, even though I had to wait a full year to play lacrosse. The community at Carmel was very open and I quickly became more comfortable with the atmosphere. During the lacrosse season, I showed up to every practice, and every game, even though I was not able to play. I took cheering my team on, warming up the other goalies and being a positive team member a priority.
Because of my leadership and dedication that I have constantly showed throughout my career, and continue to show on and off the field, I believe I would be a good fit for almost any lacrosse team that is looking to win. Aside from being a strong leader, I work well with other people and get along with anyone. I am considered kind, thoughtful and respectful of not only my peers, but of my mentors, coaching staff and teachers. And I have been told my many coaches that I am a great talker. Communication is always key, especially on the defensive end. I know that my fellow team members respect me for this. During the game, I always try to keep a strong perspective of the field and what's going on at all times. I believe that keeping my emotions in check allows me to focus on my game while not losing my competitiveness and desire to succeed.
