One of the toughest times of my life was undergoing ACL reconstruction surgery. That experience has helped me to this day even though I am now fully recovered. I became a more determined and passionate lacrosse player as a result of my injury. That event taught me never to give up and it showed through the summer going into my sophomore year when I was trying out for the best club team in the area. I had worked all summer in anticipation of the tryouts and my hard work paid off when I made the team. In the fall of my sophomore year we attended a tournament in Delaware. It was my first time playing against teams from the east coast, and seeing their talent and skill levels only made me want to work harder during and after the tournament.
My past experiences in lacrosse have made me not only into a better player but into a better person as well. I have become a better leader and set a good example for my teammates and friends. I try to set a good example by working hard in school and respecting my parents and teachers.
I do my best to keep a high academic standard and pride myself on breaking the stereotype associated with lacrosse players in my school. I am looking for a school that meets my needs both athletically and academically. I feel as though I am a good asset to any program due to my dedication to both school and lacrosse.
