I started playing lacrosse in the 7th grade and I immediately fell in love with the game. I am continuously learning how to be a better player, both in skill and in field-vision. I love playing offense and I am open to doing other positions, as I have played every position including in the cage and as a close defender for an extended period of time.
My continuous growth is important to me. I like to learn from my coaches as much as possible and I am always asking for their feedback on how I can improve. I am constantly immersing myself in the game whether it be by watching college and pro games or watching highlight tapes and emulating what I learn. During the corona virus quarantine, I have continued to work out and improve my game, focusing on areas that I am weaker in such as my off-hand, as well as overall knowledge and skill throughout. I have also joined the cross country team at my school in an attempt to help raise my energy levels and overall conditioning during a game. I plan to continue training in a more lacrosse specific way during the fall and winter months, incorporating more strength training and lacrosse specific movements.
Academically, I have always been a good student (3.7 GPA) and I love to learn. As a rising senior, I am beginning to narrow down my career choices, those being teaching or an education related profession. I am certain I want to attend a four-year college and play lacrosse at the highest level I possibly can. I am confident in my ability to excel in both lacrosse and in academics.
I strive to be a good leader both on and off the field and I take pride in representing my team and school. I am excited to continue to improve my lacrosse skills, prepare academically for college, and grow as a leader and teammate.
