My lacrosse journey started in 5th grade when I was the last cut from our school’s basketball team and decided to try the lacrosse program. Once I scored my first goal I was hooked. From there high school lacrosse has been fun with an undefeated 8th grade season and our team winning several tournaments. I made the Varsity team as a freshmen and had to learn patience because we had a senior-laden team but as the season progressed I got to play more. This past sophomore season I earned a starting attack position and began to see my game develop. Our team did not achieve our goal of state championships either year but I loved being a part of those teams. I was selected All District and was an All State nominee this past season. Besides High School I have developed my skills during the summer on a travel club team and feel I am getting better every year. My club coach is a former college All American and has taught me so much about fundamental lacrosse. Playing against better competition this summer has raised my game. My focus these next two years will be further development of my game, become a leader of our lacrosse team, and dedicate myself to getting my GPA higher.
Besides lacrosse I play several other sports for our local CYO program, mainly basketball and volleyball. I am looking for a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I have much more to give to a college lacrosse program that wants me. I feel I have a high ceiling in lacrosse and with the right program can be a great contributor. Personally I feel I have good character and show respect for others which has been instilled in me by my Parents and years of Catholic education. I look forward to talking to coaches and making the most of an opportunity.
