Keegan Barry '18 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to attend a college or a university that offers a high quality education in the fields of science or engineering. I would want to be in an environment that is academically challenging, and that affords me the opportunity to grow and learn. In addition my goal is to play lacrosse during my college years.

I would make a good candidate for your team because, I am a determined student athlete. I have been playing on a competitive and successful lacrosse team, while still keeping a good academic focus over the past five years. I have the ability to learn both on the lacrosse field and in the classroom. I am a experienced lacrosse player, with strong fundamentals. I have good speed and stick skills.

I am different from other recruits because of my determination and focus, which I accomplish by setting goals for myself in all aspects of my life. For example, during the lacrosse offseason I go to the gym three times a week with a successful trainer who has trained many Olympic and pro athletes. He has pushed me to my limits to be the best athlete I know I can be. Also, I know what it means to over come adversity. I over came lime disease. Even though it impacted my health at the time, I did not let it affect my lacrosse or my attitude, and worked harder to become a stronger athlete.

Lacrosse is a big part of my life and I want it to be part of my college experience.
