My name is Kasey Crawford and I'm a 5'9" lacrosse player who is truly involved and dedicated for the love of the game. My main position is attack, but if need be I am willing to play offensive midfield as well. I've been playing lacrosse since the age of 10, and my most important asset is the way in which I understand the game of lacrosse. I see things on the field that other players do not, and because of my outstanding peripheral vision, I make opportunities and plays that otherwise would not be there. My most memorable contribution to the game was in 8th grade when I scored the game winning goal in double over time to send my hometown team to the next round of the playoffs.
Knowing that I have the opportunity to continue playing the sport the I love most just gets me more ramped up to go harder with my game. I've been playing Varsity for my high school since freshman year, and I've been a starter at attack since sophomore year. Along with youth lacrosse and high school lacrosse in my town, I've been playing club lacrosse since my freshman year as well as summer leagues and fall ball. I'm always on some lacrosse team, and I always have a stick in my hand. My promise to any coach is that you can expect me to play my hardest and never give up and nothing less than that. I am always the one shooting around and stretching out before a game and getting ready for the task in front of me.
As far as my academics and schooling goes, I am mainly looking to stay in the Northeast, and major in Game Design or Graphic Design. Because this is such a specific major, the schools that I'd like to play lacrosse for are very limited. When it comes to the school size, I'd prefer to go to a smaller school, but I would also consider going to a larger school if need be. But most of all, as long as I enjoy the school and get to play lacrosse, I'll be happy.
My goals that I have set are simple; I want to play lacrosse at a high level, and get the education that I hope for. I'll give everything my all no matter what school or what team I play for, and that's what would make me the happiest.
