Personal Statement
This summer I completed half a semester of college coursework: Macroeconomics, Oral Communications and Yoga while at the same time training and playing for Brady’s Bunch. I was able to maintain a 4.0 averaging 96% across the three classes! With Brady's Bunch I was able to team with Brennan O'Neill at the Aloha MD tournament where we went 4-0. In our first game we dueled for points; he had 4G and 1A, I had 3G and 1A.
It was extremely disappointing last year losing the Missouri wrestling Class 4 182lb bronze medal match and then having our entire LAX season cancelled right after; I had trained very hard for both. My parents always tell me adversity will make me better.
At the beginning of the year I made a decision to concentrate extremely hard on my grades so I bypassed football for the first time since 2nd grade allowing me 3 more hours a night to work on my academics.
It paid off big time as I saw my GPA jump to a 3.6 the first semester and then a 3.8 the second!
I consider myself a selfless person on and off the field. I practice an hour to an hour and a half everyday whether we have a formal practice or not. In addition, I work with my teachers before and after school as well as during any free periods I have.
