Crey Bankes U15 L...Personal Statement
My name is Crey Bankes. I am currently a freshman, class of 2016, at The Blake School, which is located in Minnesota. I play defense for Blake and my tournament club team is Team Minnesota Rising Sophomores (www.teammnlax.net). I also have the honor of playing for Underclassman Midwest USA Team this year. (www.midwestselectlacrosse.com) I am a six-foot tall defenseman, weighing 189 pounds. I possess both speed and strength as a developing athlete.
As I start my college search, my aspiration is to play for a Division I school that offers my intended major. I am fortunate during this year to be coached by several former NCAA players such as Jon Posner, Mike Gabel, Greg Bice, Rob Graff and Frank Clark. Like these coaches, I am determined, hardworking and a dedicated student-athlete who wishes to continue playing lacrosse at the college level.
I attend the Blake School which is a private, college preparatory school. The Blake School was ranked as one of the top 10 best private schools in the United States (as of January 2013). The school prepares students for academic and athletic success. A student must remain disciplined in order to succeed in this environment.
I believe the combination of my strong athletic ability combined with my academic success would be an asset to a Division 1 lacrosse program. I am excited to start the journey in identifying the right school that meets my needs.

This team will be playing in Crab Feast -Baltimore Maryland- June 29-30, Best of the Best Showcase- Long Island, NY- July 5-7 and FLG in 3D Summer Showcase- Bel Air, MD- July 19-21, 2013.
