Personal Statement
My name is Taigen Hagen and I am from East Helena, Montana. Growing up in a rural and agriculturally based environment, I have learned the value in setting goals and working hard to achieve them. I have a strong work ethic that I apply in many areas of life, especially academics and athletics. I have been playing lacrosse for 8 years, all 3 years of high school lacrosse at the varsity level. I am an ambidextrous shooter and passer, playing midfield, SSDM, and attack. My 2022 high school season I was honored as the only junior all-state midfielder, finishing the season with 36 goals, 15 assists and 52 ground balls. As a sophomore I was drafted to the United States Premier Lacrosse League and in July of 2021 I went out to Massachusetts and played in the USPLL for 10 days, earning the top stat leader board in shooting percentage, ground balls and caused turnovers. In June 2022 I played in the Legends Lacrosse Eastern Spotlight showcase and was named as an all-star. Since a rising freshman I have attended numerous national tournaments and showcases and have been coached by many college coaches and players, which has helped me develop an excellent game IQ, ability to play multiple positions and high level lax skills. I plan on pursuing business and finance related degrees and would love to continue to play lacrosse at the highest competitive collegiate level I can. I am a multi-sport athlete and enjoy many sports, but my passion is lacrosse.
