Personal Statement
My Name is Logan Sullivan and my goal is to play College Lacrosse at the highest level I can. I started playing Lacrosse in 6th grade for a local Rec team. Lacrosse is very new and still developing in my area, for instance, my high school got a lacrosse team in 2012. Since my very first year on U11, I have been playing multiple positions (primarily Midfield), such as Midfield, LSM, Close Defense, Attack, and I take face offs as well. I play for three different teams throughout the year, Jacksonville High School, Onslow Tribe(Recreational) , and the Cape Fear Shamrocks (Travel). For a few years now, I have been going an hour away for practice for Travel Ball. We generally attend 4-5 Tournaments throughout the Summer and Fall, traveling to Maryland, Virginia, and South Carolina. Lacrosse has had such a huge impact in my life, and i strive to be better everyday.
When I am not playing Lacrosse, I play Football and workout almost every day during the Summer and Fall. I try to challenge myself on and off the field by taking Honors and AP classes. I have been to several recruiting and skills camps at Universities including: UNC Chapel HIll, Duke, Navy, and High Point.
Recently I made the High School Elite team for my travel team, and look forward to be playing on it this Summer. My freshman year of high school, (Which was the second year as a program) I led my team in goals and assists playing Left attack. My sophomore year, I also led my team in goals and assists along with being #7 in the state for points (http://www.maxpreps.com/leaders/lacrosse-spring-14/,points/north+carolina/stat-leaders.htm?classyear=all&position=all). I played Defense, LSM, middie, and attack for the Cape Fear Shamrocks over the summer and look forward to my Junior year in not only sports, but academics.
