I am a driven student athlete. At a young age my mother instilled a strong work ethic in me. I was raised on the term "Student Athlete" with student being the primary word. I thank her for that because it has given me opportunities to participate in sports and be involved in groups such as National Junior Honor Society and Student Council. My mom was a single mother for a long time, but I never knew the economic struggles she went through. She worked hard to give me the same opportunities as other kids. Now, I try to give back to others whenever I can. When I am not on the field I spend time volunteering for organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House and Crisis Assistance Ministries. I helped my mom start our HS Lacrosse team's volunteer program. Now, as a team, we volunteer in our community at least once every 3 months.
Playing lacrosse in college would be a dream come true. I want to play the game as long as possible. I spend as much time as possible practicing and getting better at my game. I know that I have what it takes athletically and mentally. I will work harder than any teammate and plan to be a good representative of my school.
