Personal Statement

UPDATE: After spending my freshman year at Cleveland State University, I transferred to Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. I am excited about the opportunities at Howard and am looking forward to developing as a player and a student. I scored goals in both of our games in 2020 before Covid-19 cancelled the season. I will take advantage of the opportunity to return to play a full season for Howard in 2021, and then I will have FOUR years of eligibility for whatever school I transfer to after that,

Sometimes it's easy to focus too much on life's struggles, but when I reflect on my life right now I know I am blessed in many ways. I love lacrosse, and I have been blessed to make All State as a sophomore and junior as well as All Star at the Midwest Elite Top 80 Showcase. I was voted as a team captain for this year, my junior season. I want to be a leader on my team. I know God has blessed me with gifts, and I am doubly blessed because I have great people around me to encourage me and help me share my gifts with others.

I want to continue playing lacrosse and pursue a degree in college so I can further develop my interests and use them to benefit others. I want to major in nursing -- and I dream of being able to help grow the sport of lacrosse in my future professional life.

I am searching for the right program that will challenge me to better myself in every possible way: personally, academically, athletically, socially and spiritually. I have something to prove and I would like the chance to prove myself to you and an amazing program. If that's the kind of person you want in your program, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Nebraska Prime Lacrosse mini-combine
  • 2/09/17 to 2/16/17
  • I ran the 40 yard dash in 4.51 and 4.55 when we had a mini-combine as part of practice for our travel team, Nebraska Prime.
  • Camp/Event
  • Midwest Elite Top 80
  • 11/19/16 to 11/20/16
  • I had a great time playing against tough competition from all over. I was honored to make the All Star game. I had a lot of fun playing aggressive defense but my favorite game was Sunday morning. I got strip steals and ground balls in the first half but at the start of the second half I got the ground ball off the face off and took it in and scored. Then a few minutes later playing close defense the goalie got caught outside the crease so I jumped in front of the goal and stopped a shot with my body. That's what's cool about playing L S M: I scored and got a save in the same game
  • Camp/Event
  • Adrenaline Shootout
  • 7/08/16 to 7/10/16
  • We finish our summer season for Nebraska Prime U17 10-10. Amazing competition in Colorado Springs. Glad we hung together as a team and won a couple before heading home.
  • Camp/Event
  • Adrenaline Showcase
  • 7/07/16 to 7/07/16
  • Very grateful to the Nebraska Prime organization for giving me the opportunity to participate in the Adrenaline Showcase. An awesome event and great learning experience.
  • Camp/Event
  • Day 3 Chicago Cup
  • 6/22/16 to 6/22/16
  • Our first game today is a win, 11-1 over OKC Chaos Black. We've now won seven straight! Last game: NE Prime 10 Loyola Academy 4. Great tournament for our team! I had lots of fun, like when I got a steal and took it in for a goal this game. It feels good to be riding an eight game winning streak! Undefeated at the Chicago Cup.
  • Camp/Event
  • Chicago Cup Day 2
  • 6/21/16 to 6/21/16
  • Two tough wins today over Fountain City from K C 11-5 and Libertyville 5-3. Six wins in a row now for Nebraska Prime U17!
  • Camp/Event
  • Chicago Cup Day 1
  • 6/20/16 to 6/22/16
  • I scored two goals in our first game, a 9-4 victory over New Wave Volt. Go Prime! Game two: NE Prime 15, Barrington 3, so it's been a real good day for our team, but I turned my ankle.
  • Camp/Event
  • Colorado Cup
  • 6/10/16 to 6/12/16
  • I scored two goals in the two wins Sunday June 12 against True Kansas and Chapparal, CO. The weekend was a great learning experience as we played several teams made up mostly of D1 commits. We didn't do so well against them but were competitive against everyone else.
