Personal Statement
As a student-athlete at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, I aspire to play the sport I love at the top level of college lacrosse. This year, my first year at Brewster, I started on the Varsity team under Coach Jason Ouellet. I will continue playing over the summer at many showcases such as 3D STX Rising DIII, BlueChip 225, Good to Great, and Elite 100.
My favored position on the field is at "x," where I excel at play-making and feeding the ball to my teammates. I also play middie when my team is missing players or needs speed up and down the field. This year at Brewster I started at first line middie for the season. Some of my achievements include numerous Most Valuable Player Awards, Honorable Mentions, and serving as Captain of my team. My biggest satisfactions, however, have come when contributing to my team's win in championship, overtime, or rivalry games.
I pride myself on my leadership qualities. I believe it is important to respect my coaches, teachers, teammates, classmates and competitors and to help others to do the same, both on and off the field. My coaches have consistently commented on my leadership skills and teachability, and I plan to bring these key qualities to a top-tier, lacrosse program at an academically competitive college or university.
