Zack Samberg '17 Recruiting Profile

I'm an unique recruit, in my opinion, because I believe that I provide the total package that coaches are looking for.  For starters, I am very passionate about the game of lacrosse and I really enjoy playing it.  I have had the chance to play with some of the best players and coaches, which I am lucky to have.  I have the chance to play at some top showcase and tournaments this summer and I hope to prove my skills there.  Also, I am a good student.  I pride myself on my grades and the fact that I'm taking four honors classes as a freshman.  I believe that even if lacrosse isn't in my future, my academics can carry me far.  Also, I'm a leader.  I try to improve on it every practice and game, but I enjoy being the vocal leader of my teams and helping the coaches.  I find joy in being a leader.  Something else that is unique about me is that I'm a filmmaker.  As an 8th grader, I found a really unique story about the Lone Peak High School basketball team.  I used that and my passion of film and as a result, I co-directed the documentary, The Book of Lone Peak (www.bookoflonepeak.com).  I also make highlight tapes for my friends.
