For me, lacrosse is a passion. The chance to play lacrosse at a higher level would be a great opportunity and let me complete the goal I have had for a long time now. The most important thing to me is not playing lacrosse, but finding a school that fits me. I want a school that fits my academic needs, a place where I can grow socially and become an independent person. The college experience is about finding yourself and continuing your education, and if I can mix that together with lacrosse, all my dreams will be met.
As a lacrosse player, I am an attack-men or can be used an offensive player but I am always willing to play a position if the team needs help. I am someone who is unselfish and likes to pass as much as I wish to score. I attack the goal at the right times and shoot when I have an opening to do so. I am a player who learned from an early age that rather then force the ball, settle the situation and make the right pass. I continue to focus on increasing my foot speed, which will help me become a more dynamic player. This is something I train for constantly, and it has become better over years. I get my job done on the field and help contribute to my team's overall result, win or lose.
The first thing that I feel makes me different from other recruits is that I have an energy that I carry around with me when on the field. I am ultra competitive, but not to the point where I am pulling out hairs. This attitude carries over to the classroom. I strive to get the best grades I can possibly get, and I am always looking to challenge myself and not take the easy class. Secondly, I like to take the lead and be an example. Whether it be a leader in the locker room or be the head for a group project, that is where I want to be. Finally, I am going to someone you can count on. If you need a favor, help with school work, or just someone to talk to I can be there.
The opportunity to play lacrosse at the school I wish to attend would be a dream come true to me. For a school to challenge me on the field and in the classroom could prepare me better in life, and also teach me to be my own person.
