Philip Spiridigloizzi '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Philip Spiridigloizzi. I am a junior at Whitesboro High School in Marcy, NY. I have played lacrosse year round for 8 years and I have enjoyed every minute of it! From school lacrosse, summer league, fall ball, winter indoor and travel teams… I’ve done it all! Lacrosse is my passion…. I can’t play enough!

I initially played midfield for 4 years but switched to attack in 8th grade, where I found my passion for the next 4 years. My first year at attack I received the MVP award with 29 goals and 14 assists. During my JV season I finished with 22 goals and 11 assists. My size and abilities gave me the opportunity to be a starter on the Varsity level as a sophomore. I ended the season with 6 goals and 3 assists. In 2013 I started at attack all season and ended the season with 25 goals and 11 assists. I am a leader on the field and I play every game both mentally and physically, always giving 110%.  

I have played on the Niners Select travel team out of Kingston, NY with Coach Bob Leary and Coach Bob Cappelletti for the past two years.  We attended tournaments in Rhode Island, Bryant University, 1812 Shootout and of course Lake Placid.  In addition to summer lax, I attended training camps at various local colleges to improve my game and skills. I am a very coachable player and I am open to all forms of help in order to improve my game of lacrosse.

One of my goals in life is to graduate from a respectable college with a degree in engineering, industrial or mechanical (still undecided). I want to be the one that takes an ordinary gadget and makes it extraordinary!  My mind has been full of ideas for years.  I think that is one of the reasons I understand the “game” of lacrosse so well.  Playing lacrosse at this college would be my dream….

I want to learn more every day about anything and everything. I want to play lacrosse until my body stops me.
