Personal Statement
When in the face of adversity, I take it as a challenge to become a better version of myself; whether it is academically or athletically. I've come from being the out-of-shape, slow freshman to leading my team in sprints and encouraging my teammates through the growing pains that every team faces throughout the year. I have improved leaps and bounds this past year, putting in hours of practice on my net at home with some of my teammates and developing my skills at Force Sports Complex. I am willing to take a slash running through a ground ball if it gives my team possession and a better chance of winning the game. I am a versatile player, I can play as a hardworking defensive midfielder, a strong alley-dodging offensive midfielder, I can take face-offs. I'm willing to play wherever necessary for my team, and for my coaches. With playing hockey, I have a physical but steady style of play. I pride myself on my defense. I tutor many of the Junior Varsity kids which has lead me to a potential education major. While I have only played lacrosse competitively for four years, no one seems to match my intensity and passion for the sport. I love this game, and any lacrosse team could use a little more intensity during practice or a little better attention to detail in the film room. I hold people accountable and I don't have any issue addressing it when it is not being upheld. Through my actions and words, I uphold what it means to be a student athlete.
