Personal Statement
Success is measured in many ways by different people. To me, success is achieved when you work hard, make mistakes, learn, and then work harder and smarter to reach a goal. My goals for success include attending an accredited college where I can obtain a degree in Physical Therapy while also pursuing my passion of lacrosse by playing at a college level.
Through playing competitive lacrosse for the past seven years, I have learned a lot about the game. Lacrosse has taught me about myself and what it takes to achieve goals on and off the field. Through playing, I have come to realize that character, academics, and dedication to the improvement of my individual abilities are all equally important. It is this understanding, along with my strong Christian and family values, that make me an excellent candidate for any college lacrosse program.
I believe I stand out on the field, not only for my strong stick handling skills, speed, and agility, but because I understand and promote the importance of being a team rather than an individual player. In addition, I look for opportunities to mentor or assist other players as needed, as well as constantly look for opportunities and suggestions for personal growth. I live and breathe lacrosse, and have adapted my lifestyle so that I am capable of performing at my best. I am motivated, determined, and have a no-quit attitude. I play a competitive and physical game, but I also play smart. I look for ways to outplay and outsmart my opponents in order to assist and advance my team.
In conclusion, I feel I would be a solid addition to any college, as both a student and lacrosse player. I know that my road to success will not be easy, so I’m ready to play hard!
