I have been a lacrosse player since I was 7 years old. I am extremely dedicated to the sport playing for Hilton Head Island High School in the spring, and then in the summer and fall I play with a travel team called Team Palmetto. My freshman year of high school I made the transition from defense to goalie. At the time Hilton Head Island High School was supposed to have a JV team and we did not have a goalie for this team. Because the position needed to be filled, in the preseason I stepped up to be our JV goalie. That year we didn't have a JV team so I became a third string goalie for our varsity team. During that time I worked with my teammates as often as possible whether it be on the weekends or at practice during the week, and it has since paid off.
Off the field I am an academic. In my class I rank high among my peers currently number 54 in the class. A majority of my grades are low A's and high B's. This may not seem all to impressive, but then again my core classes are that of AP, IB, and honors courses. If I do ever find myself struggling in a class of that stature I immediately go to my teacher for guidance, and invest my time into studying what I need to know to succeed as a student.
Whether it be school, lacrosse, or anything else I choose to do I give it my all, and strive to be the better than the best.
