Personal Statement
I am a Senior at Dawson High School in Pearland, TX. I play Varsity Lacrosse for the Pearland Rail Cats, under the great Tim "Coach OB" O'Brien. I also play on a select summer team, the Houston Hounds. I played with the Hounds in the IMG Fall National Tournament in Tampa, FL November 18-20, 2016. I played Attack through Junior High and my Freshman and Sophomore years in High School. I was named JV Co-Attackman of the Year my Freshman year.
In the Summer of 2016, I was asked to play Defensive Midfielder, the summer coaches liked my aggressive playing style. I was very valuable in causing key turnovers in some close games. My varsity coaches recently asked me to play LSM and Defense. I picked up the D-pole and am spending every free moment honing my stick skills in my new position. I'm starting LSM this season and will playing Defense as well. I'm a Swiss Army knife on my team, ready to switch positions at any time.
I have an excellent work ethic, on and off the field. I am a Junior Coach in our league, helping head coaches with the younger teams. I'm in my third year coaching our 7th grade team. I absolutely love coaching, it has become a passion that I would like to pursue as a career. In addition to lacrosse and school, I also own a small business, Burchell Power Wash. I've been in business for almost 3 years now and have a great reputation and many referrals. I'm very exited about the possibility of an opportunity to play lacrosse at the next level while continuing my education.
