Personal Statement
I started playing lacrosse in the 9th grade. I never saw the sport played. I watched a few pre- season practices before I decided to give it a try. I didn't even have my own equipment. My coach gave me some used pads and a stick to borrow for two weeks.
I quickly fell in LOVE with the game! I knew I would have to find some teams to watch and learn.
I turned to ESPNU and Utube for a crash course, and spent every free moment with a stick in my hands.
Through hard work, determination, and a 'never give up attitude' I earned a starting attack position on the Varsity Team.
I am very competitive and want to be the best! I believe I will continue to improve my game as a college player.
I would love to be a part of a college team that has high expectations to work hard and win games.
I am a coachable, motivated, team player. I continue to watch college games. I would be and asset because, I know I have not reached my potential as a player. I am a student of the game and look forward to learning from college level coaches and working hard with teammates that have the same goals.
All sports seem to come naturally for me. Academics; on the other hand, have been my challenge in life. diagnosed with dyslexia in the 2nd grade, I have had to apply that 'never give up attitude' to learning to read and write. With the help of many great teachers, I have now set my sights on higher education! This is a HUGE accomplishment, there were many times I thought I would never graduate high school.
I believe athletics played a big part in why I have been successful in the classroom. I plan to study Kinesiology and stay in the game of Lacrosse as a player and as a career. I want someday to inspire young kids with dyslexia, so they know they can succeed. On their own efforts to never give up.

PS. I plan to get some film together during my upcoming senior season.
