Personal Statement
Ever since I was three years old my life has been surrounded by sports. With having a parent who works in the recreation field; I've been spoiled from having my eyes opened up to basketball, soccer, baseball, and football. Being able to go watch those sports played professionally in person has been a huge blessing to grow my IQ.
However, I hadn't discovered my true love for the game of lacrosse until I was thirteen years old. Lacrosse has taught me the meaning of teamwork, individual hard work, dedication, and life overall. I've quickly realized that life is not easy, and to accomplish your goals you must sacrifice your social life. With the growth of the game in Utah, lacrosse has become a huge part of my daily life. It's my drive and motivation to work hard everyday to accomplish my goal of winning a state championship in Utah. With that; wall ball, watching film, growing my nutrition, and my footwork has naturally come to my lifestyle.
Since January 2015, I have been playing lacrosse 3-5 days a week, non-stop. Due to this, I over used my muscles, weakening them and causing my ACL to tear. I had an ACL reconstruction in August 2016 and have been recovering ever since then. With my injury, I have realized that being an athlete is not forever. I have decided that I want to continue my education in biogenetics and to study BioChemistry.
I plan to leave home for college in the fall semester of 2018. I will be a full time student athlete to play lacrosse at one of the highest levels available to me. I love to learn new things and I am always open to a new possibility. I intend to transfer these attributes from lacrosse and school to my future career for whatever that may be.
