Personal Statement

I am interested in pursuing an education in Criminology with future goals of supporting a federal law enforcement agency such as the CIA, FBI, Department of State or other Intelligence Community Agency, with a possibility of joining the armed forces as an officer. I am self motivated and continue to push myself to achieve my goals outside of school and LAX.

I am a dual sport athlete who has competed in sports since I was 10 years old. I have competed in lacrosse and wrestling at advanced levels, and have competed in both sports as a varsity athlete. I am fast with exceptional speed and endurance, have good shot accuracy, and execptional stick skills. I have been raised in a military environment which has taught me respect, and integrity. I understand that no opportunity will be given to me. Only, through hard work, commitment and dedication will I achieve my goals and success.

I am team player, and strive to lead by example for the rest of my team, regardless of the role I have. I take instruction well and learn from previous experiences on and off the field, which makes me very coachable.

Outside of wrestling and lacrosse I have competed in competitive running and triathlons. I have exceptional endurance and speed. I took first overall in the second triathlon I competed in, which included all age groups. I have competed in multiple 5k races, with a best time of 19 min and 20 sec.

I have a part time job at a local Taco Bell, which I started this past summer. I have been able to balance, sports, school and work.

I joined a gym during the past summer on my own, so that I could prepare myself for the upcoming season. I have put on 10-15 pounds of muscle mass and gained a significant amount of strength. My current Max Bench Press is 150 lbs, which is 120% of my body weight. My max squat is 285 lbs. which is 270% of my body weight. I have been able to maintain my speed and agility while adding muscle mass and strength.
