Personal Statement

In college I will receive my doctorate degree in dentistry and medicine, and graduate with honors. For my collegiate leveled sport I will strive to be the best and work my way to the top. With hard work and determination I will better myself along with the team.

I have been known to have a strong work- ethic and work hard, not only in sports but also academics. Improving my game and supporting the team are my top priorities beside academics. I always go 100% and perform at the highest level possible. When there is an off season I prepare myself for the next season so that I do not fall behind in my physical and mental strength.

In my current school we have IB classes which are similar to AP, even though I knew it would be a hard journey to mix these classes, that prepare me for the college curriculum, and sports I still found ways to study and practice with the team and without the team in my free time. My teachers always tell me that I dress nicely and answer questions in class no matter the difficulty level and when I’m having trouble I don’t pretend I know everything and let myself fail. Instead I ask questions and use what I’ve learned to help my classmates too.

I always perform in order to positively impact my personality from other people's perspective as well as my own. And when I notice any problems I push myself to find ways to fix them, because I have seen that (being around my grandparents and living in separated parent households) honesty along with respect are the best qualities a person can have. So, with that at mind if a coach changes my position, I receive late work for school, or someone tells me something that they think can make me a better person I use their information to  push myself to be humble and respect my elders and peers’ decisions.
