Personal Statement
My name is Christopher White and I am from Springfield, Virginia. I am an athlete who will go 110% everyday in the classroom as well as the field. I carry a 3.1 GPA right now at West Springfield High School. My dream is to play college lacrosse, no matter what. When I have a goal, I stay focused on that goal and don't stop going for the goal until I succeed.
This summer I will be participating in the Maryland Showcase. I plan to have a large amount of training this summer and to add on to training I will participate in the Dixie 150 camp at Catawba College. I tried out for three travel/club teams for this summer: Finish Hard, Fuze and Alexandria Travel Lacrosse; and was selected to the Finish Hard and Alexandria Travel Lacrosse Teams. I elected to commit to the Alexandria Travel Lacrosse team because of their commitment to me early on and because of my commitment to help coach the neighborhood swim team. From the Dixie 150 Lacrosse camp I was selected to the Dixie All-Stars Team to travel to the Maryland Champ Camp 17-20 July, Champ Camp was a great experience even though the team did not have a good showing due to not having practiced or playing together before camp.
UPDATE: I participated in the Maryland Showcase Event, Frederick MD, 27 and 28 July playing on Team 11 wearing number 338. Team 11 went 3-2 and defeated the only undefeated team in the Sunday morning game 7-6. I was selected to the All-Star team (White) as an LSM. I played both LSM and close Defense.
