I have been playing lacrosse since I was eight years old and have been playing with a long pole for the past 6 years. Not only do I love playing, but I’m also a certified referee and youth coach. I've been on the Varsity since I was a Freshman, selected as a Team Captain for the past two years and elected as All Conference First Team Defense in 2014. Additionally, I have gained a greater appreciation for the sport of lacrosse and its tradition by reading and enjoying Coach Neil Duffy’s two books, The Spirit in the Stick and Fly to Honor.
In addition to playing lacrosse, I also play the tuba in the High School Marching Band as well as the Symphonic Band. This year, I was selected as a Section Leader where I am responsible for training, motivating and leading the other tuba players.
I attend the Governor’s Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Academy at Grassfield High School where, in addition to the regular curriculum, I also take classes in sports and business marketing. As a result of these interests and my experiences in athletics, I plan to pursue a Sports Management Major in College.
Through hard work and dedication, I have earned a 3.65/4.0 GPA by the end of my sophomore year. I look forward to aggressively improving myself on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom to prepare me for the combination of academics and athletics in college.
