Joshua Brandes '19 Recruiting Profile

(2018) This year I will be a starting Midfielder for Central Kitsap High School Lacrosse. Additionally, I will be playing the Summer season for Seattle Starz 2019 Elite. My club Summer schedule has been updated on my profile under "Events". 

(2017) I'm a 5'9" attackman/ midfielder from Poulsbo, Washington and play both right and left handed. I attend Central Kitsap High School, where I will graduate in 2019. I am a two year starter on Klahowya secondary school's varsity lacrosse team. This season I made 2nd team all-conference and led my team in goals. Both my Freshman and Sophomore high school seasons I was ranked within the top 25 for goals in Washington state. I've played two years of club lacrosse for the South Sound Starz. During the club 2016 season I was the only Sophomore selected for the High School Elite Team for both Summer and Fall.  Summer of 2017 I played for RC Elite at the Western Prime and Western Shootout. Fall of 2017 I am playing for the Seattle Staz 2019 Elite team as a midfielder. I am a very driven individual and am looking to better myself every day on and off the field, whether it's putting in extra time for school, spending extra time in the weight room, or watching film on my own time.  I am a great leader and am always trying to set a good example for my team mates and friends. I am interested in all DI, DII, and DIII schools, preferably those on the east coast. When choosing a school I am looking for somewhere that will challenge me academically, what the environement/ community is like, and whether or not I would be happy going there even if I could not play sports. When choosing a program I am looking for a team where I can make an immediate impact, the competitiveness of the team and division, and the kind of coaches that are running the program.
