Personal Statement
I am a 6'0" tall, 205 lb senior Defenseman/LSM from Verona, Wisconsin. I have a 3.5 GPA, a 25 ACT and graduated June 2011. Senior year I received ALL AMERICAN, Division 1 Player of the Year , 1st Team All State, 1st Team All Conference and our Verona Wildcats team won the Wisconsin State Championship. I was ranked 1st in state for defenseman ground balls (75) and also 1st in state defenseman for Points (12 total, 5 goals; 7 assists). Our HS team also repeated as champions of the 2011 Bullrush Tournament in May with 16 teams from 4 states competing. I was also team captain.
As a junior, I received honors of ALL AMERICAN, 1ST TEAM ALL STATE, and CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE YEAR for Madison Area Lacrosse Association (MALA). I am a team leader and was elected Team Captain for both my Verona High School Varsity team and the TRUE LACROSSE U19 CHICAGO ALL STAR TRAVEL TEAM. I have been a starter on the Varsity team since my freshman year and received 1st Team All Conference honors my sophomore year. My junior year, our team was MALA Conference Champions (21-2 record) and State Runner-Up. We also won the 12th Annual Bullrush Tournament (May 2010) which was attended by 16 teams from 4 different states. I am a 3 sport varsity athlete: Lacrosse, Football, and Snowboard Racing. Also awarded 2010 FOOTBALL 1ST TEAM ALL CONFERENCE OUTSIDE LINEBACKER and Big 8 Conference Champion and 2009 WIAA D1 State Semi Finalist.
I am looking for a college that offers selective academics, engineering/science majors and a nationally ranked lacrosse team. I am willing to attend college either inside or outside the midwest and I am open to explore opportunities at the D1, D2 and D3 levels. I am eager to work hard, learn and develop my defensive skills at the collegiate level working with elite coaches and players.
