Personal Statement
I have learned many things about life, limitations, and people through my involvement in rowing. I know now that physical limitations are based almost exclusively on the psychological beating that one is able to take. Also, I realize now that I have become a lot stronger than I ever could have imagined as far as how hard I can push myself, how easily I am able to make adjustments to technical issues, and how I am able to pick out little things of how a boat is being rowed.
As an only child I never had anyone to really look up to in my relative age group when I was younger. This led me to become a very independent, and creative thinker. I always try to see every possible solution when trying to solve a problem, and try to think in a way different from others. As well as this, it means everything to me to make a positive impact on the world, and it is my goal to become a household name when I leave this world.
