Soccer is more than just a game for me, it's my passion, my way of life. It has taught me so many life lessons, especially how to be dedicated, committed, focused, hard-working, honest and humble, tributes that have helped me tremendously, not only on the pitch, but in my personal and academic life as well.
I have been playing since the age of four and still get excited every time I take the pitch. I have made so many lifelong friends, not only in my teammates but coaches and even opponents. I have learned the importance of being coachable, respectful, a leader while also a team player and calm under pressure. My previous coach, Luciano Estrada, told me at my last evaluation that I was the most coachable player he has ever worked with, that was huge honor for me, almost as great as being selected "Players' Player" by my teammates.
As much as I love soccer, keeping up with my academics is a priority for me. I would love to pursue a career in law. I know it is a hard and long road to get there but I am confident I can handle the challenge. I am a hard worker, I never give up and I like to see things through to the utmost of my abilities. I have taken my first steps towards that goal by enrolling in the YMCA's Youth & Government Club at my school. During the last year, I have participated in their Model Legislature and Court Forum, even going to the Capital in Sacramento where I was selected to be a Court Justice. It was an awesome experience and only strengthened my desire to go into law.
Being on an academy level soccer team is a huge time commitment and has taught me to manage my time wisely . Attending four practices a week and traveling to games on weekends requires you to plan ahead, not procrastinate and manage your time efficiently so you can keep up with your coursework, get to all your practices and games and still have time for family, friends and fun. I believe in working hard, having fun and making a difference,
