Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer competitively since I was about seven years old. Although I grew up playing soccer, baseball, and basketball competitively, I enjoyed soccer the most. Every year I played from my first year, I felt a growing passion for the game. I feel my best attributes on the field are significant field vision, playmaking, and a strong knowledge of the game.
I'm looking for a college that will suit me well educationally and athletically. I believe I have the ability to be an impact player by the end of my sophomore year, whether that being an impact off the bench or a strong starter.
Throughout my soccer career I have been moved around the field. Growing up I was always an explosive goal scorer. Around the time high school started and my first years of club soccer, I moved down to a playmaking outside midfielder and occasionally playing up top when needing extra attacking. I also have experience playing center midfield and defensive midfield in my three years of high school soccer. I have also had some chances being a playmaking/attacking outside defender.
Coming from high school I have become to be a more vocal player on the field more and more every year. On my club team, I'm taking a leadership role that is needed to help us all get progressively better.
I have maintained a relatively average GPA my first two years of high school, but I raised it my junior year and I plan for it to be even better senior year.
With strong knowledge of the game and leadership on the field combined with positivety off the field, I believe I will be a great fit for any collegiate program.
