Personal Statement

"Antonio has all the attributes to play at the highest level and is on track to be a well rounded student athlete. He is a natural leader and plays the game with a maturity that will take him to the top. Antonio is a hard worker, great communicator and has a passion and drive that stands out. He is a fantastic shot stopper and has won games for the team by making key saves at key times. Over the last year I have asked Antonio to guest with my u19 team who are one of the best club teams in the country. Antonio accepted the challenge and rose to the occasion playing in critical CSL Premier League games. As my captain and standout player I recommend Antonio to any college coach as he will be an asset to any soccer program and campus."
- Arron Craggs
Head Coach of Santa Monica United BU 17

Personal Statement
Playing soccer since I was five years old, I have developed a strong passion for the beautiful game. I wish to take this passion for the game to the next level by playing college soccer. Therefore, my objective is to play college soccer at the most competitive level possible while receiving an education that will prepare me for the future. I believe my work ethic and drive are my strongest qualities that help me reach my full potential on and off the field.
I have been playing club soccer since I was ten years old. My first club was Sherman Oaks Extreme where I was the captain and starting goalkeeper for four straight years. I was the starting goalkeeper and captain on my Freshman soccer team at Loyola High School. Playing one year up, I am the captain and starting goalkeeper for Santa Monica United’s Boys Under 17 Gold team coached by Arron Craggs. Coach Craggs later provided me with the opportunity to play with his nationally ranked Boys Under 19 Premier team. Earning one shutout and two goals against in three games, I felt comfortable playing at such a high level. I am looking forward to playing with Santa Monica United’s Boys Under 17 Premier team this coming spring season, and I am also looking forward to the opportunity to play varsity soccer at Loyola High School. For the past three years, I have been privately training with goalkeeper coach Ian Feuer.
When it comes to academics, I always take the same work ethic I have on the field into the classroom. Loyola High School is a very competitive school both academically and athletically. I have maintained a 3.8 GPA in my sophomore school year and have been involved with many extracurricular activities and community service.
I volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club in Burbank, California. The Boys and Girls Club provides a safe and enabling environment for kids who need it the most. Learning that my leadership and relational skills can make a difference, I have become a role model in the eyes of the children there.
