Riley Coover '23 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play soccer and study computer and data science in college. I am a highly competitive person and enjoy learning new things, both on and off the field. I have been playing soccer competitively since age 9 and I  love the sport. Soccer is not just physical but very cerebral, which is what makes the sport so exciting to me. Because my primary position is center back this also enables me to take on more of a leadership role on the field, which I enjoy. I have high expectations of myself off the field too. I am extremely academic, achieving a GPA above 4.0, and I want to pursue my dream of becoming a Machine Learning and Data Science Engineer one day. To this end, I have already had success in several outside Machine Learning projects. I am extremely driven and focused on everything I do, constantly challenging myself to be better. As a result, there is no better feeling than reaching a new goal both on and off the field.
