Joshua Lavallee '08 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Lavallee and I am a goalkeeper from Upland, California. I am the current starting goalkeeper for the Real So Cal 17/18 USSF Development Academy team. I am a 2008 graduate but I'm currently enrolled at Citrus College, a Junior College, going part time to allow me the opportunity to transfer out at the end of the year. I currently am enrolled in English 101, History 107, Philosophy 106, and have completed Math 150. I have done my homework on this situation and I would be able to transfer in as a freshman and maintain full eligibility through the NCAA. By enrolling part time and not playing with the JUCO soccer team my five year NCAA eligibility clock has not begun. As far as Josh the player is concerned, I am a hardworking kid who loves the game. I am a great shot blocker and distributes the ball very well. I stand 6 ft. tall and weigh about 165 lbs. I am very quick off the line and make smart decisions with the ball on all the aspects of goalkeeping. I am very coachable and love to learn. I was suppose to be off at college at this time but due to some budget cuts at the University I was verbally committed too, that opportunity was short lived. Admissions had them stop recruiting and my commitment fell by the wayside. But I keep going, worked hard and did all the right things to put myself in the best possible position. And I believe I accomplished that as you can tell by getting on and starting at a nationally ranked team such as Real So Cal. My goal is to get the highest quality education while playing the sport I love at the highest possible level.
