Personal Statement
Soccer has always been my favorite activity since I was 3 years old. Over my high school and club career, I have developed as a strong player. Continuing on to college, I wish to keep playing soccer and be able to contribute to the team with my passion, drive and talents. As a left-footed outside midlfielder, I excel in fast counter attacks; beating the defended 1 on 1, delivering a cross or taking a quick, powerful shot. The coaching I have received over the years has taught me to use my extremely fast speed to beat defenders, and score or assist teammates. while playing either right or left positions. I run a 4.72s 40 yard dash, 1.63s 10 yard burst, and a 29.0 inch vertical jump; not to mention have game long stamina. I find myself using my speed and good foot skills to burn defenders and capitalize on offensive opportunities. I have developed my set pieces and I can find a corner from anywhere around the 18, using left footed curve that beats goalies. I am the captain of my high school team; which has helped me to develop strong leadership skills and work ethic always focus on improving as a team and player. I have a 3.9 GPA and a 32 ACT succeeding in high level and AP courses. I want to continue my career playing soccer at a collegiate level and continue to better myself as an athlete, student and leader. I am confident I can contribute to a college soccer team.
