Grant Lund '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Grant Lund and my goal is to find a college that suits both my athletic and academic goals. I have been playing soccer since the time I could walk and have loved the game ever since. I have always wanted to take my athletic career as far as possible while maintaining good grades and  focusing on academics. I grew up playing for my local club team where I won 2 straight State Cup Championships. When I was a U-13, I was given the opportunity to play with a higher level club team, Real Colorado. I have always been one to take on challenges and this presented a much better environment where I could be challenged and improve. This opportunity gave me perseverance as I was working for a starting spot as well as working back from injury during my U-14 season. Since then I have gone through a lot of adversity after playing with our ECNL team and working hard every day to earn a spot on the MLS Next team. I am now playing on the MLS Next team and work hard every day to earn and maintain a starting role. I hope to play somewhere that feels like home and where I can be challenged both athletically and academically and committed to winning.
