Personal Statement
Dear Prospective Coach,
My name is Brodie Neubauer and I believe I could be a perfect fit for your team. I am a 5’8”, 145 lbs freshman goalkeeper. I currently play club soccer for Penn Fusion Soccer Academy in West Chester, Pennsylvania and play high school soccer for Appoquinimink High School in Middletown, DE. In addition to strong technical goalkeeping skills, I am also very good with the ball at my feet. I lead both on and off the field as well. I have been a part of the National Junior Honor Society, a member of safety patrol, and have participated in The Salvation Army’s holiday fundraising efforts. Academically I have a 4.0 GPA and take all honors and AP classes. When it comes to my aspirations on the academic side I am looking to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. On the athletic side, I have worked to play soccer at the college level ever since I started playing travel soccer in 4th grade. During my high school freshman season with Appoquinimink High School I started on JV and kept a clean sheet in 71% of my games and had a goals against average of 0.29.
I have had an extensive amount of goalkeeping experience. During the off season, I have continuously attended extra training sessions to improve my skills; including numerous private and group sessions with Keasel Broome, 360Sports, The Keeper Institute (TKI), and the New York Red Bulls Regional Development School residential summer camp and winter training session. Lastly, I have a great deal of game experience such as playing on my two current teams, playing on Delaware ODP, and playing in multiple games in England with my previous club team Delaware Union.
I am confident that I can be a great addition to your program and hope you will consider checking out my profile for more details about who I am as a player and as a scholar.
