Personal Statement
I am first and foremost a team player. I was chosen as captain, sophomore year, on my high school team because my teammates learned to respect and listen to me. Being a captain comes with many responsibilities. One of those responsibilities includes lifting up the team morale when the odds are against us. Also, pushing every single one of my teammates to do their very best no matter the circumstances, leading the warm-ups, and keeping everyone civil and serious. I am not one to be quiet and just go with the flow. I am one to stick out like a sore thumb and be constantly involved no matter where I am on the field. I am leading my club team in assists and my high school team in goals. I put my chances away as well as helping my teammates put their chances away. I also run track which helps build my stamina and form on the field so I can be in top shape. However, I'm not only committed to the field. Academics are very important and essential to me. Being in all Honors and AP based classes is challenging, but I maintain all A’s in every class because I take the time to put in the work and study. I have been invited to be apart of the National Honor Society because of my leadership and hard work in and out of school. I am a part of the student government as the Senior Class president. I have helped organize and fund events that helped better the school and the community. I have also facilitated events I helped create. Every trimester from freshmen year to now I have been recognized in the Honor roll. My teachers respect me as a student and as a person. Many of my past teachers use my past work as examples for their current students. Moreover, I am a very committed person academically and athletically.
