Personal Statement
My ultimate goal is to play soccer professionally. The next step for me to achieve this goal is to continue to develop both athletically and academically in college. I believe I’m well prepared to excel in college on both fronts.
Since 8th grade I have competed and thrived at the highest level of soccer in the US as a USSDA player; I was the only player to start in every game for IMG’s U16DA two years ago and I have competed in every USSDA game and showcase the last three years. Last year I played on IMG's U19DA as one of the starting central midfielders. This year I will be playing overseas in Germany on Eintracht Norderstedt's U19 team (see link below for schedule). Eintracht Norderstedt offers a new challenge in a competitive environment in addition to training alongside Eintracht Noderstedt's first team who competes in division 4. I am an extremely versatile player as I have moved seamlessly between center midfield and other positions to support the needs of the team. I fit into center midfield because I am technically sound with an excellent first touch and a wide range and variety of passes. I can fit into any central position as I can play great passes in behind and I am an exceptional tackler of the ball. My vision and tactical discipline allows me to excel at many positions. I have a dominant right foot but am equally as good with my left.
I have achieved an unweighted perfect 4.00 and weighted 4.36 GPA. I believe that if I continue to work hard and improve every day, to listen and learn from my coaches, trainers, and teachers that I will best position myself to succeed in college, in soccer, and in life. I would welcome the chance to continue my journey in college.
