Personal Statement
I intend to play professional soccer once I have received my Bachelors degree.
I would be a great fit for any team because I have a strong work ethic and leadership qualities. I am currently co-captain of both my high school and club teams. I am coach-able, cooperative and encouraging to my teammates.
I have played club soccer since I was 6 years old. I played midfield and defender then became a goalkeeper at age 10. Was a starter all 3 years of middle school. In high school I was the backup goalkeeper my Freshman and Sophomore years, then earned the starting position in my Junior year at Pembroke Pines Charter High School. My team was District Semi-finalist in 2017.
In my Junior year, I was able to maintain 3.15 core GPA while traveling to Jamaica for 2 weeks, then again for 1 week to train with the Jamaica U17 National team. I was guest player for Orlando City FC Academy team in the GA Cup in Texas, then trained with FC Dallas Academy for 1 week at the end of May 2017. Although I was not selected for FC Dallas Academy I was invited to return in 2018.
Now as a senior, my core GPA has improved & both my high school and club teams have been having successful seasons. For my high school team I currently have 21 saves in 14 games, with a GAA of .556. School record 13W, 1L. My club team, Miramar United Elite FC (U18) also has a winning record of 12W, 0L, 2T. We recently competed in the Disney Showcase where we defeated the current state champions of Inidana and Maryland. We won our group (2W, 1T).
I have received quite a few offers from colleges and universities both within and out of state. I am looking forward to participating in the upcoming Dallas Cup tournament at the end of March 2018.
I aspire to be the absolute best goalkeeper playing at the highest level.
