Bailey Guffin '15 Recruiting Profile

I am the leader, the team captain, the traffic controller, the vision and play creator in this game.  My name is Bailey Guffin and I am a junior at East Paulding High School, a Classic I Select Club Player, a High School Varsity Player, a student, a son, a brother and an athlete in training.  I eat, breathe, and live soccer.

I started playing soccer at age 4. Carefully waiting my time for academy level. More aggressive, more competitive.  I played 5 years academy and   now in my 4th year in Club Select. I started out as a striker and was converted to attacking center midfielder  by my coach in U-12.  I was the top scorer in academy for the club for 3 years, and I am currently the 3rd top scorer in my club team, as well as being the top player in assists. I am adaptable, coachable and can move to defensive mid, forward or right mid when needed.

I am a midfielder machine, with ball skill, footwork, aggression, agility, tactical and technical abilities, vision and the heart to play ball in college. My desire is to major in sports management, along with sports communication/journalism.  I am actively involved in marketing classes at school, DECA member, write athlete of the week articles and hold a 3.57 GPA. I  also wish to coach. I hold an F License Certificate, and hope someday to pursue coaching at a higher level. I am a drummer in a small band called B.L.T. (musicbyBLT). We play for charity events, school events, local venues and I wish to continue to play throughout college.

I have trained diligently with private coaches, speed and agility trainers, sports facilities and attended camps every season.  I play indoor Futsal and adult leagues in my time off from club and high school ball to keep me sharp.  My family and I have traveled to many states and other countries to watch professional soccer teams in order to learn and absorb more about the game.

I will be an asset to your program.  I am a leader both on and off the field. Nobody will work harder than I.  Whether I am playing, sitting, training or learning  with your team, I can promise that I will give you 100 percent of everything I have. I am the giant on the field.   My greatest accomplishment will be to get a college education and participate in college soccer.
