I'm a very versatile player, and that makes me an asset to any team that I play on. I've always been tall for my age, so when I began playing soccer at age eight my coaches started me out as a goalkeeper. I quickly learned to guide my teammates during games because my position in the goal as well as my height have always given me an advantage. As I've grown older, I've also grown faster. I now regularly play forward and center back. At 6'4" (so far), I'm a big presence on the field and I use that to my advantage!
I have great respect for my coaches. My teammates become my brothers, and I've formed lifelong friendships with so many of them. I'm easygoing and loyal. I'm happy to lead when needed, but I'm very coachable. I practice every chance I get, whether it's at the fields with my teammates or at home taking shots on the goal in my backyard by myself. When somebody suggests that I can't do something, it makes me work harder to prove them wrong. This year on the first day of school I was asked by our head football coach to be a kicker for my high school Varsity team. I'm really proud to have had that opportunity, and I successfully scored every one of the 20 PAT's that I attempted. Academically, I've always been an A/B student. I've taken Honors and AP courses throughout high school while maintaining a 3.2 GPA or higher. I also participate in extracurricular activities such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes and DECA. I would like to major in Exercise Science or something related to it, but I've also considered Marketing. Most of all, I want to be able to play soccer while I continue my education and I'm really excited about the opportunities that wait for me after high school.
