Personal Statement
I am starting my senior year at Glenwood High School in Chatham, Illinois where I have been a starting defender since my freshman year. I play my club soccer for the Springfield Area Soccer Association (SASA) where I have played for the last 10 years. For the last 6 years I have played up a year and sometimes two years. I am a starting center fullback and wear #4.
I am looking for a university where I can achieve both my academic and athletic goals. I want to major is sports medicine of some kind. I am interesting in athletic training, kinesiology or pre-med. Athletically I want to play for a soccer program that regularly competes for wins in post season play. I have always played for a competitive program and want to continue that in college. I am a team player and I do everything I can to help my teams win games. I consider myself very coachable. I am always trying to improve my game and work every day, on my own, to become a better player. My father is a sports performance coach and has helped me improve my strength and conditioning for the last 7 years. He has also helped me recovery from injuries in order to make me stronger when I returned to my teams. Training to better my sports performance has been an every day practice for many years.
I am open to any type of college from Division 1 to NAIA. My main focus is making sure the university fits my personality, academic goals and soccer goals. Thank you for reading my profile and I'm looking forward to the next stage of my academic and soccer career.
