Jesus Barquin '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My name is Jesus Alejandro Barquin but I go by "Alex." I have always had a passion for soccer since I was a little boy. All of my former coaches love my soccer skills and teamwork ethics. I am an extremely hard worker and have a great attitude towards life. I think anything is possible and strive to improve and work harder each time I play. I hope to some day play with a professional team like Chicago Fire. I will be a phenomenal addition to any team at the college level. Physically, I am in great shape. I have a lot of lean muscle all over and strong leg muscles. I train running uphill frequently to up my soccer abilities.

In college, I aspire to hopefully get a degree in Kinesiology and Sports Studies so that I may have the opportunity to coach after my soccer career is over but I also have an interest in a Business degree or accounting degree but that could change within the next year as I am still looking to see where the best job opportunities are. I spend a lot of time at school right now trying to keep grades up. As I go in early and stay after school to do better and better in my classes. Also I stay afterwards for the track team as I am a sprinter. After track practice my brother, William (who is also an aspiring soccer player 9th grade) and I head out to the YMCA and we play indoor soccer with friends and lift some weights. Most nights we are home at 8 to 9pm.
