If I am blessed enough to get onto a college team, I would do anything to help that team in any way. I aspire to grow to the best of my ability, learn from the senior players/coaches on the team and to compete against any opponent no matter what. When I play the game of soccer, I always feel like I can help lead a team through both my actions and words. If our team is in a tough situation, I will work twice as hard to get us out of it by making a hard, clean tackle, by incorporating my teammates into the play, or whatever the situation calls for - anything to inspire and drive my teammates on. Academically, I work just as hard to make sure my grades represent the student I am. If I'm not working on my sport, I will be working on my academics as I currently have a 3.8 cumulative GPA. I work hard in everything I do and personally, the harder the situation is, the more fun it is for me as I get to compete and work harder to beat my opponent. Competition is what drives me on the soccer field and also in the classroom.
I have also lived in three different countries (England, Switzerland, U.S.A.) and three different states (California, Washington, Illinois) in my life so I feel that I am extremely adaptable when it comes to moving. Every move that has been presented to me doesn't phase me. Joining a new sports team has never created any problems for me or the team and I always adapt well and fit into the system right away. Adaptability has been a major cornerstone of my life as I have always had to adapt to a new home, a new school, new people and a new team but, having moved five times in my life, I find no issue in adapting to a new environment. Having lived in many different places and meeting many people all over the world, I have learnt how to interact and communicate with all kinds of people. Part of being a great leader is knowing how to get the best out of each and every one of your teammates. Adapting to all kinds of people has helped me as a leader on the field in helping my teammates grow and perform to the best of their ability.
