Personal Statement
I bring positive energy to the field and have a vital trait that many players lack; communication. My presence on the field is evident every game and practice and I bring the team together as one. As a Colombian, soccer is in my blood and my earliest memories are with a soccer ball at my feet and watching it on TV. By growing up with the game, I believe I analyze it differently than other players and I bring this to the field as well. I can settle the ball and control the pace of the game, but I can attack at speed and throw off the opposing team. Strongest trait is finding the gaps in between the defense, but I am not afraid to take the ball myself and take a man on 1-v-1. Although goals may not be my strength, I score when I need to. I scored the only goal in the game against Noblesville High School which gave my school it's first ever conference title. I also scored in the regional championship against Lafayette Harrison to tie the game up after being down 1-0. I take pride in my academics as I have a 4.1 GPA. I am involved in Key Club, a club with the goal of helping our city through community service. I am also a member of DECA, a competitive business club that competes against other schools in the state. I am also the only male French tutor in all of HSE High School with there being over 3,000 students at the school.
