Personal Statement
I started playing club soccer at U8 and have been with Ft Wayne United at the Academy level for 10 years. My long term goal has always been to play college soccer at the highest level possible. I have played the CAM, CDM and CB positions so I am versatile on the field and can play whatever position is needed. I am very technical, good with my feet, see the field well and pride myself on winning defensive battles. As a club we play a very disciplined possession based style of soccer and focus on building out of the back. We focus on defense and quick transitioning into counter attacks. My work rate is very high and I take corners and free kicks in the attacking third.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer at local youth soccer camps for underprivileged kids. Outside of school and soccer, I have had the privilege of going with my family on four mission trips to Honduras to help those suffering from extreme poverty. These trips have expanded my world perspective and shown me the value of service to others. They have also given me a sense of gratitude for all I have in my life, especially the opportunities- I want to make the most of them.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. My goal is to be a contributor and a difference maker. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
